How to Achieve YOUR Financial Independence!
In a few days, America will celebrate its 249th birthday.
With July 4th on Friday, many of us will be traveling over the holiday weekend.
In fine American tradition we’ll eat hot dogs, watch baseball games, parades, and fireworks (or drone shows) are in store for many.
Maybe you’ll spend the day at the beach or get together with friends and family.
While the independence of the United States was a world changing event… I want to ask you a serious question.
How will you achieve your financial independence?
One of the best ways I know how… is by investing in great All-American companies.
Let’s look at a few…
We’ll start with Ford (ticker: F) because it’s going all in on America.
I’m sure you’ve all seen the ads on television or heard them on the radio.
Here’s a link to one of Ford’s commercials in case you’ve missed them.
Ford is leaning into America by branding itself as “From America. For America.”
Tariffs spooking car buyers might rush to Ford since almost 80% of its vehicles are manufactured here at home.
And Ford stock is incredibly cheap. Ford’s price-to-earnings ratio is only 8.6x, which is one of the lowest in the entire S&P 500.
Another All American company is hard to miss…
When others think of hot dogs, they might think of Oscar Meyer or Ball Park.
But whenever I think of hot dogs… I think of Costco (ticker: COST). 🤣
One of the best parts of being a Costco member is its $1.50 hot dog and soda combo. True to form, the price hasn’t moved one penny since 1984.
Do you know what IS going up in price?
The price of Costco stock!
Costco has risen almost 250% over the last 5 years, which makes Costco the best-performing stock in the entire consumer staples sector.
What’s the cause of Costco’s amazing performance?
Costco has amazing loyalty from its customers and has averaged double-digit earnings growth over the last decade.
Now here’s another amazing All-American Company
Next up is Disney (ticker: DIS), one of the largest media companies in the world.
Disney’s theme parks in California and Florida are major destinations for tourists.
I was just at Disney World in March, and Disney is raking it in at these parks.
The Experiences segment, which includes theme parks along with cruises and merchandising, generates almost $10 billion in operating income every year.
And just think of all the intellectual property Disney owns. The Disney characters from their movies, Star Wars, Marvel comics, and Pixar are going to keep Disney at the top of entertainment.
2022 was really rough for Disney, with the stock falling almost 40%.
But Disney has rebounded nicely by rising more than 30% over the last 3 years.
Disney’s price-to-earnings ratio is also around 25x, which is the lowest it's been since COVID.
You can’t get much more American than Ford, Costco, and Disney.
These companies can help you achieve your financial independence.
